HRH Prince William, Duke of Cambridge recently visited the new head quarters of Inspire in Belfast where he heard of the work of Change Your Mind champions.
The Duke heard of some of the innovative ways that Change Your Mind champions in schools, sport and in the workplace are changing the way the public thinks about mental health stigma.
The Prince has long been an advocate for positive mental health and was keen to hear how Our Lady and St. Patrick's College, Knock had developed their celebrated Floreo programme, which was supported by Change Your Mind, George Best City Airport and Cinemagic.
Chatting with Inspire CEO Prof. Peter McBride, the Prince learned of the development of the Resilience Centre, which in itself aims to reduce stigma through its location right in the heart of the city.
Through working with our partners the IFA, Train2BSmart and TAMHI - Change Your Mind has been able to help tackle stigma in Sport. Here the prince was asked by young footballers, who his favourite players were and how playing sport helped him to relax.
We would like to thank HRH for his visit and to all of our CYM partners for taking part in what was a very memorable day!
